Disappointed with the loan terms I was offered

I applied for a personal loan based on the advertised rates but was offered significantly worse terms than expected once my application was reviewed. The explanation given was vague and the appeals process was unhelpful. I ended up going elsewhere and got a much better deal. Disappointed.

I have been banking here for about two years and the experience has been consistently solid. Transfers arrive promptly, statements are clear and the online banking is easy to navigate. One small complaint about the wait time on the phone line but not a dealbreaker.

Everything from opening my account to setting up standing orders has been smooth and professional. The advisors are knowledgeable and speak in plain language rather than jargon. My only minor gripe is that the mobile notifications could be more detailed, but otherwise four solid stars.

I regularly send and receive payments from overseas and this bank offers better exchange rates than my previous provider. The transfer process is simple and the funds arrive quickly. A four-star experience — would push to five if the app allowed real-time rate checks.
