Average banking experience — nothing outstanding

My experience has been perfectly adequate but nothing more. The account works as expected, transfers go through without issue and the app is functional. There is little that distinguishes this bank from its competitors though, and I feel that a more personalised service would make a big difference.

Best digital banking experience I have ever had

The mobile app is beautifully designed, intuitive and genuinely useful. I can check balances, set up payments, freeze my card and speak to an advisor all from my phone. This is what modern banking should look like. I moved all my accounts here and have not looked back since.

The banking products themselves are good value but I have had a couple of frustrating experiences with the customer service team. Wait times on the phone are long and I was passed between departments on one occasion. The core service is solid but the support experience needs work.

If you need a straightforward current account with no complications this bank is fine. The rates are not the most competitive and the app is a little dated compared to some rivals, but for everyday transactions it does the job. Would consider switching if a better offer came along.

Switching my current account here was easier than I expected. The staff guided me through the process and the account was fully operational within a few days. The app is clean and functional. I would give five stars if the branch wait times were a little shorter, but overall very satisfied.
